Elizabeth Gomez
Elizabeth is a Chicago based writer, comedian, and storyteller. She has made appearances in Steppenwolf’s LookOut Series, Chicago Women’s Funny Fest, and Outspoken, an LGBTQ+ storytelling show. Her newsletter Mixed Race Tape is a variety of stories, pop culture reviews, and essays about her life growing up as a Korean Puerto Rican queer woman in America. She is a producer and co-host of Don’t Ruin This For Me, where Elizabeth and her BFF revisit old media from their childhood and examine how it turned their sweet little kid brains into huge adult messes. Elizabeth is a recurring contributor in Chicago Magazine, emcees, and has taught storytelling workshops.
FUN FACT: Elizabeth is also known as Juanna Rumbel, a founder of The Windy City Rollers - Chicago’s first flat track roller derby league about to celebrate its 20th anniversary!
